Tata Motors will be sharing its engines with Jaguar Land Rover. This is a two way flow of technology with engines from the stable of Jaguar Land Rover featuring in Tata cars and probably vice versa too. While this will certainly benefit Tata Motors to a great extent, the same cannot be said for JLR. Tata Motors can use the 2.2-liter diesel engine which powers the Jaguar XF and Land Rover Freelander 2 an upcoming product, while Jaguar and Land Rover cars could use the 2.2-liter DICOR motor which powers the Safari SUV and the Aria crossover. Any which ways, Tata Motors now has the technology but needs more ingeniously designed products to utilize the available engines from the British company.
